The purpose of this course is to provide advanced training in the correct selection, use, and disposal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in disability and aged care practice.
PPE is not just about wearing gloves or masks; it represents a structured barrier system that protects both workers and participants from the spread of infectious diseases and harmful exposures. In this module, learners will gain deeper knowledge on advanced practices such as correct donning and doffing sequences, managing PPE shortages, and recognising risks associated with improper disposal.
The course also ensures learners understand their compliance obligations under the NDIS Practice Standards, WHS legislation, and the Australian Guidelines for Infection Prevention and Control.
